About

Liubov (Luba) Baladzhaeva, Founder and Editor-in-chief

Liubov Baladzhaeva became obsessed with gymnastics after watching the 2010 World Championships and discovering queen Mustafina. Born and raised in Russia, in a family of athletes, she has a unique insight into Russian culture and the sports system. She’s been translating gymnastics interviews and articles from Russian since 2012 for various websites, had her own blog for a while and founded Gymnovosti in May 2017.

Liubov lives in Haifa, Israel and is working towards getting a PhD in Linguistics. She tweets at @cherity1313.
