Belgium’s Nina Derwael and Axelle Klinckaert will miss the upcoming European Championships. According to FFGym.be, Derwael, who won gold on bars at the Doha World Cup a week ago, has decided to focus on the preparation for the World Championships. Klinckaert has injured her knee in practice last week and had to withdraw.
Currently, the Belgian WAG team for Euros only has two gymnasts: Maellyse Brassart and Fien Enghels. Two additional gymnasts are supposed to be named to the team after the final verification on Friday and the gymnasts will leave for Poland on Saturday.
