Elena Eremina will compete at Russian Championships

After winning two medals at the 2017 Worlds, Elena Eremina missed the whole 2018 season recovering from the back surgery. According to Valentina Rodionenko, her first competition is supposed to be the Russian Championships in March, 2019. At this moment, it’s not yet clear whether Eremina will compete all-around and how downgraded her routines will be. The main goal for her the next season will be the World Championships in Stuttgart.

Rodionenko said:

“Eremina got almost all the medical clearances, she only has one last committee left which is supposed to approve the clearances she got. So, everything’s fine. We expect the committee to gather in January. We’re confident she’ll get the clearance, all the tests she did are fine, she had a full medical check up and was cleared. We plan that her first competition will be the Russian Championships. Perhaps, she’ll compete downgraded routines there, not in her best shape, but that’s ok, the most important thing is the World Championships.”
