Jantykov and Meiram won all-around at the Kazakhstan Cup

The Kazakhstan Cup is taking place in Almaty this week.

In the all-around, Yerbol Jantykov took the first place with 79.250. Akim Mussayev took second place with 76.500. Ilyas Azizov became third with 76.300.

Junior and senior women competed together, probably due to a smaller field. Junior gymnast Arailym Meiram took the first place with 50.150. Meiram turns senior next year. Yekaterina Chuikina, a senior, was second with 49.650. Another senior, Aida Bauyrzhanova, became third with 47.450.

Milad Karimi, the silver medalist on floor at the 2017 Doha World Cup, chose to compete only on parallel bars at this competition. Karimi is preparing a new routine on bars for the Universiade and trying it out here.
