Maria Kharenkova downgraded beam because of a shoulder injury

Maria Kharenkova told Stadium.ru that she downgraded her beam dismount because of a sore shoulder. She did a flyaway dismount but still won beam:

“I am pleased with my performance at this competition, but not completely. Even though I won the beam final, I did it without a dismount. A layout isn’t a dismount. My shoulder hurts and I was afraid to injure it even more, so I decided not to risk it. Normally I dismount with a double pike and this will immediately raise the difficulty by 0.5.”

“I did everything well on floor – I’m happy. I only competed on these two apparatuses at this competition. I will do all-around at the Russian championships next spring, so I’ll work on vault and bars, but my main focus will still be beam and floor.”
