Nabieva plans to return to competition in December

Tatyana Nabieva recently talked to “Novoye Delo” about coaching in Dagestan. Nabieva is helping to develop a gymnastics program in this Russian region. She plans to come to Dagestan once a month to help with coaching in the new gymnastics center in Makhachkala. Her dad is originally from Dagestan and her grandmother still lives there.

Nabieva is officially on the Russian national team’s reserve but she hasn’t been competing in a while because of a wrist injury. She wanted to recover by summer to try out for the Universiade, but the recovery, apparently, wasn’t fast enough, so in this interview, she said she will return to competition in December. She did not name the competition but it will likely be the Voronin Cup.
