Nikita Nagornyy represented his home club Dynamo at the Voronin Cup (Dynamo is the organizer of the Cup) and won several medals including AA, team, floor and p-bars golds. He talked to the media about the competition:
“Generally, for me, this competition has always been a way to sum up the results of the year. I didn’t do my full difficulty here although I tried some new elements here and there that are used to upgrade my routines. But somewhere, in turn, I lowered the difficulty, like on the floor, just to go through the routines. Frankly, I was thinking only about the team victory because we represent Dynamo and we had to defend Dynamo’s flag. Regarding the individual all-around, I’m happy with my performance, I did everything well, even despite the mistake on the high bar. We finished this year and will now start working even harder and preparing [for competitions] in the new year.”
