Oksana Chusovitina was slated to compete at both Toyota Cup and Voronin Cup this month, that’s after participating in three competitions in November and flying to a gymnastics gala show in Moscow. She ended up withdrawing from both Cups due to a minor injury, she said to TASS:
“I was supposed to come to Moscow but, unfortunately, due to a minor injury, I decided to miss the competition. I need to take care of myself, the next season will be very important because the qualification for the 2020 Olympic Games will continue”.
If all goes well, we are likely to see Chusovitina next time in Melbourne in February, at the next World Cup, where she will try to win an individual spot for the Olympics.
