Poland suspended by the European Gymnastics’ EC over debt

The Polish Gymnastics Federation has been suspended as a member by the European Gymnastics’ Executive Committee due to an unpaid debt. According to Sport.pl, the Polish Federation borrowed 170,000 euros from the European Federation for the 2019 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Szczecin. Sport.pl reports that in a year and a half since the, the federation repaid only 10,000. The Polish Federation is also reported to have additional debts connected to the competition.

The suspension will need to be confirmed by the General Assembly of the European Gymnastics. It will mean that Polish gymnasts will be ineligible for the upcoming rhythmic and artistic gymnastics Euros.
