Antwerp will host Worlds in 2023

International Gymnastics Federation and Belgian Gymnastics Federation have announced that the 2023 World Championships in artistic gymnastics will take place in Antwerp. This will be the fourth time for Belgium to host Worlds and the third time the competition will take place in Antwerp. The city was the place of the first ever World Championships in Artistic Gymnastics back in 1903 and also hosted the competition 110 years later, in 2013.

The 2021-2024 quad will be the quad of Europe in artistic gymnastics, with most major international competitions taking place in Europe: 2024 Olympics in Paris, 2021 Worlds in Copenhagen, 2022 Worlds in Liverpool, and 2023 Worlds in Antwerp. In addition, the 2022 Commonwealth Games will take place in Birmingham while the 2023 Summer Universiade is likely to be hosted by Yekaterinburg, Russia.
