Artur Dalaloyan will resume training in January

Artur Dalaloyan has been taking a break from the national team training camps after the Olympics in order to let his injuries heal. He wrote on Instagram that he will go back to training and to the national team camps in the beginning of 2022:

“Hello, friends. I want to answer the most popular question – whether I plan on continuing my career as an athlete. Yes, there has been little gymnastics, competitions with me as a participant lately, and it can all be explained. First of all, my family! We had to be apart so often, all the camps, preparation periods, and competitions require my utmost dedication and I just didn’t have any time to enjoy my family, children, and my beloved wife. Now is the great time when I can be close to them. Second, the injury with which I competed at the Games. It’s no secret to anyone that I speeded the rehabilitation processes and such injuries don’t go away in such a short time, they need time. Third, after so many years of work, I need to reboot. After all, during all this time, I would give myself at most a week or two of rest at a time and it’s just impossible to always work on such a schedule. I asked to give me a short break and they understood. Starting in January, I plan on resuming proper training and I’m saying with complete confidence – yes, I will continue [my career]. I will spare no effort in order to get to Paris-2024.”

Nikita Nagorny had his version of a break that included a few Bundesliga competitions, the Artur Gander Memorial, and the Swiss Cup, but he hasn’t been back to Round Lake yet. He wrote on Instagram that his first national team camp will be in December.

David Belyavskiy also competed at several Bundesliga meets during his break from national team camps but decided to return to Round Lake earlier than his Olympic teammates and came back in November. He is already working on adapting his routines to the new code and even learning new elements.
