Following her sister Ellie, Becky Downie also withdrew from the British Championships. Thankfully it’s not due to a new injury (whew! we’ve all already been traumatized by Claudia Fragapane’s torn Achilles), just a minor setback in her recovery from the injury she got at last year’s Euros.
Downie wrote on Twitter that at this point she’s not yet where she wants to be with her preparation and she decided to prioritize her safety over a chance to compete at the Nationals.
