Dalaloyan didn’t feel well enough to compete in the AA final

The reigning World AA champion Artur Dalaloyan has surprised everyone with his unfortunate performance on the first day of the Russian Championships when he finished 17th in the all-around. He still made the all-around final but ended up withdrawing. Emin Garibov said during the live stream that the coaches decided to rest Dalaloyan, worried about him after the multiple falls during qualification.

Andrei Rodionenko told TASS that Dalaloyan was not feeling well on the day of the all-around final, so the coaches decided to rest him. For now, he is still expected to compete in the finals on vault and rings tomorrow. Rodionenko also confirmed that Dalaloyan is preparing for the European Championships that will take place in a month in Poland. Dalaloyan is the reigning silver European AA medalist and has a chance to take gold this time, especially since the reigning champion, Oleg Verniaiev will miss the competition.
