The power couple of the Russian national team, Daria Spiridonova and Nikita Nagornyy, got married today in Nagornyy’s native city, Rostov-on-Don. The couple tried keeping a low profile and did not make any announcements before the day. The wedding was attended by some of their teammates: Aliya Mustafina, Angelina Melnikova, Maria Kharenkova, Liliia Akhaimova, David Belyavskiy, Artur Dalaloyan, Nikolai Kuksenkov, and Dmitrii Lankin among others. The wedding was more Western-style with both the ceremony and the reception taking place at a hotel, bridesmaids wearing dresses in different shades of purple, and seating charts for the guests. Russian wedding ceremonies normally take place in a state registration office, then the couple goes on to take pictures with the city’s landmarks and it all ends with a reception in a restaurant.
