Dariy Morozov switched from Russia to Azerbaijan

After Ukrainian recruits left Azerbaijan, it apparently turned to Russia to recruit for its MAG program. Considering that ex-Russian WAG gymnasts seem to be quite well in Baku, recruiting Russian gymnasts might be the right direction for MAG as well. FIG has announced that Dariy Morozov of Moscow is a senior, however, he was not currently on the Russian national team. Last year, he picked up a few medals at local Russian competitions, for example, he won bronze on pommel horse at the Dityatin Cup. At the moment, the only other foreign recruit on Azerbaijan’s MAG team is ex-Hungarian Bence Talas who is still recovering from injuries, while the rest of the team is comprised of the home-grown gymnasts.

Two other nationality changes approved by the FIG were Emilian Neagu switching from Moldavia to Romania and Clara Gandrey switching from France to Switzerland.
