Artem Dolgopyat is the current silver World and European floor medalist and he’s coming to Doha after winning two golds at World Cups in a row. However, he’s trying to forget about all that in order not to put too much pressure on himself. Dolgopyat told Mako.co.il about his goals at the World Championships:
“Of course, I’m excited, it’s another competition in which I have to show what I can do. I’m trying not to think about all the expectations from me because it only makes me nervous. When I go out to do my routine, I don’t think about all the medals I’ve won already. I think of myself as someone new that has to prove himself. My goals are, first, to get into the final and then to do everything in order to get onto the medal podium”.
