Elena Eremina who recently had a spinal surgery wrote on her Instagram that the surgery made her realize that she needed to live in the present and enjoy each moment:
“After the surgery, I realized that it’s necessary to be happy with every moment and every result that you get. Not to worry about small things and to never say never. Not to make plans for a year ahead and to live only in the present day”.
Eremina, the 2017 World all-around bronze medalist, is currently recovering after the artificial disk replacement surgery and is not allowed to train yet. Her coach, Vera Kiryashova, told International Gymnast that Eremina is staying positive:
“Lena is in a wonderful mood. She follows all the events that occur in the gymnastics world, cheers for everyone, and hopes with optimism in the near future, when doctors allow it, to get back in line”.
