Elena Eremina and Maria Paseka went to Germany to check on their progress since the back surgeries and to get an approval to train in full strength again. Elena Eremina posted an update on her Instagram, saying that she can fully train now but it can be hard to re-learn elements after getting a rod in her spine to stabilize the vertebrae:
“I went [to Munich] for a check-up, the doctors said: “everything’s fine”. So I’ll be recovering with renewed energy. I’ll say honestly, it’s hard to start from scratch. Imagine – to do something for 13 years and then boom, to learn everything again. Sometimes it’s hard to wrap my head around it: “I used to do it so easily, I wasn’t even thinking about it and now it’s like a completely new element”. But I can say that I still remember all the skills in my mind. But the muscles are getting used to the new detail in my body and sometimes they’re resisting, they need a lot of time to adjust. Now, because of that, I have to listen to my body and adjust accordingly. Now I do a lot of skills completely differently in my mind. That’s why the sport is interesting, you never know what’s going to happen tomorrow. Well, I’ll be recovering and trying to get back in the lineup as soon as possible. I hope I’ll be back soon”.

Will you report who makes the women’s team after the verification camp tomorrow?
The selection camp will last until the team leaves for Worlds and we will likely not learn the final team until the last week of it
