European qualifier for the Youth Olympics – schedule and stream

This Saturday, June 23, Baku will host the European qualifier for the Youth Olympics Games that will take place in the fall.

The competition will feature juniors from all around Europe trying to qualify to the Games. Some countries with more depth sent two WAG or MAG gymnasts competing for one spot (only one person per country can qualify) while others just sent their best gymnast. 52 MAG and 44 WAG are set to compete and only top 17 gymnasts will be able to qualify in each discipline.

Although it’s a junior competition, there are some big names -Elisa Iorio and Asia D’Amato from Italy, Ksenia Klimenko from Russia, Anastasiia Bachynska from Ukraine, Amelie Morgan and Phoebe Jakubczyk from Great Britain. The full list of participants is available on the organizer’s website. For WAG, Italy and Russia will compete in the second subdivision, while Ukraine, Romania and Great Britain are in the third subdivision. Full draw can be found here.

The competition will be streamed live. You can watch it via the SmartScoring website (it’s possible to watch either 5 apparatuses on one screen- two WAG and three MAG –  or choose one apparatus) or on the website of Idman channel (TV broadcast).

  • Hello Nice to meet you Liubov. I tried the livestream but is offline. How can I turn it online? I also tried the Azerbayan tv but nothing is streamed on the screen. Please help me before it starts. Thank you

    • The competition has not started yet, it starts in 2.5 hours, so try opening the links once it starts
