After Simone Biles broke Svetlana Khorkina’s record of most medals at World Championships, she first commented on Mustafina’s chances of going to the Olympics, and then decided to comment on Biles’s performance as well. She talked to the Russian Olympic Committee about the current World Championships and claimed that were she 15 years younger, Biles would have a rival on the floor:
“For me, the talks on whether our girls can reach the level of the US team are unacceptable. We’ve always strived to be the best, we’ve strived to dominate. I don’t think our team has different goals now. Don’t make the unbeatable queen out of Biles! Were I 15 years younger, I would absolutely challenge the American.”
“The truth is that at the moment, our women are not in such brilliant shape as the men. Moreover, of not for the mistakes of the competitors from Italy, France, and China, we would’ve been left without medals. I doubt it’s possible to upgrade the difficulty before the Olympics, it will stay the same as now. So, they need to emphasize the consistency. I’m sure a girl that is capable of doing the hardest skills has already been born in Russia, we just need to find her!”

It’s very hard for her to swallow the fact that Biles is better than her, and not just better, better than her by a lot!
There is no way she can win Biles under the current scoring system. Besides the medal counts, Biles always displays good sportsmanship and she does not.
Holy cow this woman is delusional. Never anything wrong with strong support for her home team and fierce rivalry but the way this woman has gone about her statements over the years is scary. I wonder if she’s ever been tested by a psychologist for Schizo? She certainly has the delusions right in place there.

BAhahahahahaha Khorkina rivaling Biles it`s too funny. Even if she would be rivaling her in Gymnastics, Biles beats her in Personality every day.
Very true! Khorkina was a one of the best gymnasts at her time, but she was rude and obnoxious. Biles is the complete opposite. She is always supportive to her teammates and polite to other people around her. She is an inspiration to all the young gymnasts.
