Ksenia Klimenko picked up another medal yesterday – a silver on beam. She said to RIA Novosti, that she was able to gain confidence and forget about her mistakes in the all-around, which allowed her to do well on beam.
“The medal on beam was the hardest to get because there’s a high chance to make mistakes and lose balance on this apparatus. I was able to gather myself and I feel better than at the beginning of the Games, I’m already slowly forgetting about the mistakes in the all-around. I feel confident now and this showed in my routine – I wanted to do everything confidently and I was able to do better than in the previous days. So, I’m happy”.
Klimenko also said that despite this newfound confidence, she started feeling physically unwell by the floor final and had leg cramps which resulted in a fall.
