Laney Madsen, US gymnast/cheerleader who recently announced she is going to represent Bulgaria internationally is now one step closer to that as she received her FIG license.
Madsen originally said that she was going to compete at Worlds in Doha and her parents are currently raising funds to allow her to travel to the competition. She was not listed on the nominative Bulgarian team for Euros but only gymnasts with valid licenses could be included on the list. Considering that, for now, Bulgaria has only listed two senior gymnasts for Euros (Pamela Georgieva and Greta Banishka) and that Madsen currently has no international competitive experience in WAG, it might be a good idea for the team to send her to Euros as well and not leave her international debut to Worlds.
