Manrique Larduet has been experiencing wrist pain for a while now and could not compete in the all-around at the 2018 World because of that. He tried more conservative treatments, particularly, stem cell therapy, but at the end had to have surgery.
He posted on Instagram a photo of himself in the hospital, with both hands in casts. Larduet hopes to fully recover after the surgery and come back to competitions again. According to the news reports, he is expected to be able to start light training in two months.
