Tolyatti, Nemov’s home town, is planning to build a new sports facility for gymnastics called “Nemov Center” by 2020. Nemov worked on the center’s project with a group of architects and he wants the new center to be completely transparent. Both literally and figuratively. The plan is to have transparent walls so that all the work out could be seen from the street. Nemov believes that this will be both a way to attract more people to participate in the sport and a symbol of sports as “open and approachable”. Once the center is built, Nemov wants to hold competitions there and to bring famous athletes for master-classes.
