Nikolai Kuksenkov posted a video on his Instagram, saying that he has a shoulder injury which requires hospitalization and further treatment.
Kuksenkov missed most of the current season recovering from another shoulder injury and returned to competition this August at the Russian Cup. However, he wrote on his Instagram that his uninjured shoulder started hurting right before the competitions in Switzerland (Kuksenkov competed at the Swiss Cup and Artur Gander Memorial) and he did an MRI just to check if there’s anything to worry about. In the video, Kuksenkov does not specify the injury or how serious it is, but he says that the doctors decided it’s better for him to stay at the hospital to receive treatment. He doesn’t know yet how long this stay will last.
