Brazilian gymnast Petrix Barbosa decided to switch nationalities and will represent Portugal internationally. He plans on competing for Portugal already at this year’s World Championships in Doha.
Barbosa left Brazil to train in the US. Earlier this year, he came forward as an abuse survivor – he said that his ex-coach Fernando de Carvalho Lopes abused him when he was a kid.
