Rianna Mizzen and Kiara Munteanu will not be traveling to Doha for World Championships as Team Australia is hounded with injuries. This follows the news that Talia Folino, Australian Junior Elite of The Year in 2016, is also injured and will not be competing following a surgery to her foot in August.
2014 and 2015 Worlds team member Kiara Munteanu was the Non-Travelling Alternate for the Aussie team, the same role she held for the Rio Test Event in 2016. She was added to the team following Mizzen’s injury.
Mizzen told on her Instagram that she had ruptured her ACL on Tuesday during a floor routine.

The extent of Munteanu’s injury is not known at the moment.
Erin Modaro will step in as the fifth member of the team, and they flew to Doha from Sydney on Wednesday afternoon.
