Ivan Stretovich has been out of competitions since the Rio Olympics because of his wrist injury. He was supposed to come back to the Round Lake in May, then his return was deferred to Fall, and for now, he still hasn’t returned to the national team camps. According to Valentina Rodionenko, Stretovich still hasn’t been able to fully recover from the wrist surgery and the recovery has been hard on him mentally:
“He had such an injury… He’s a pommel horse specialist, a pretty decent one, but there’s such a physical load which he can’t bear. He has’s great on high bar, but it’s the same there as well. He’s very depressed, but we’ll try to do everything possible to help him recover”.
