Yesterday, during the team final, the difference between the gold and silver was just 0.05 which is less than any possible deduction on any event. Both Russians and Chinese had their share of mistakes in the final and this 0.05 difference could’ve come from practically any routine. Yet, Valentina Rodionenko seems to blame Artur Dalaloyan exclusively. She said to TASS:
“We lost the gold to the Chinese after Dalaloyan didn’t compete quite successfully on parallel bars. But we are not going to grieve, the guys on our team are good, we have to keep working and preparing for the Olympics. And setting all this aside, second place is quite a decent result. The minimum goal was achieved – the men’s team qualified to Tokyo-2020”.
