Valery Alfosov, the head MAG coach of the Russian national team, told to R-sport today that Ivan Stretovich is preparing to compete at the Russian Cup in August.
Stretovich had a wrist injury and underwent a surgery in January. He was recovering and training at home in Novosibirsk and recently even got a new training buddy – Oleg Stepko. Stretovich is joining the national team at the Round Lake this week after the senior gymnasts returned from Cyprus. According to Alfosov, the gymnast is supposed to compete on two apparatuses at the Russian Cup – high bar and parallel bars.
