Oleg Verniaiev and Igor Radivilov who both won silver medals at the 2017 Worlds will be receiving the President of Ukraine stipend for outstanding athletes. The monthly amount is 9,000 grivnas which is about $320. Their personal coaches will also receive the same amount. While this does not seem like much, it is higher than Ukraine’s average salary and the stipend will be paid in addition to their income from other sources.
