Amy Tinkler has announced on her social media that she underwent another surgery and will miss the upcoming British Nationals and European Championships.
Tinkler had an ankle injury last spring, during the warm-ups at the Birmingham Cup. Soon after, she had ligament reconstruction surgery and had to miss the rest of the season trying to recover from the surgery. In October, she underwent a second surgery to remove scar tissue. However, she still experienced pain and did not have a full range of motion, which led to a third surgery a week ago.
Tinkler hopes the third surgery will finally fix the issue, however, she will not be able to recover in time for the spring competitions.
