Enus Mariani of Italy took to her Facebook wall to reveal that she has officially retired from elite gymnastics due to continued injury. She reports that writing down her official retirement from the sport is difficult and like a bad dream to even think about. Mariani believes this is a terrible reality for her. She wanted to personally inform people herself so she would not be misunderstood or negatively criticized.
Enus Mariani is an incredible athlete and gymnast at the elite level of the sport. She has earned several medals for Italy on the largest National and International stages. She has been completely devoted to the sport of women’s gymnastics. She wishes to thank her society, her president, her coaches, her friends, and partners. However, she predominantly wants to thank her family for supporting her from the minute she walked into a gym and throughout her entire career.
Mariani writes, “Gymnastics for me, has been, is, and always will be life♥️”.
