Dalaloyan: The important thing is to never give up

Artur Dalaloyan had an Achilles injury during the verification for the European Championships. He has already had surgery to repair the partial tear and said on his Instagram he’s itching to return to training:

“Well, here are my news. The surgery was overall successful. I feel great, I’m full of energy and, most importantly, motivation. I haven’t forgotten about exercising for a minute and even started working on the mobility of my toes first thing after recovering from anaesthesia. And the day after the surgery, I managed to get the doctor to bring an exercise mat to my hospital room and did some exercises even though I was light-headed. I will be discharged tomorrow but will still have to endure a cast for two weeks because it’s important for everything to heal properly, especially for the tear to close. Yes, this injury brought me trouble. Yes, it’s not the best time. But it’s impossible to predict such situations, so there’s no point in getting upset or angry because of them. The important thing is to never give up, to go all the way, and to believe in your dreams!”

The Russian MAG team at Euros wore special t-shirts in support of Dalaloyan on the first day of training. The t-shirts with the photo of Dalaloyan say “The team is waiting for you!”
