Poliashov: It’s a pity there’s no team competition at European Games

Vladislav Poliashov has been on the brink of making big teams for several years now before finally being selected for his first European Championships this year. After winning bronze on pommel horse, Poliashov has also been selected to compete at the European Games. He told R-Sport he is planning on unveiling big upgrades, raising his difficulty on PH by 0.5:

“For me, [European Games] are a very serious competition, it only happens once every four years and it’s only the second time. It’s a pity there is no team competition. Most likely, I will do all-around. At the moment, I’ve upgraded my pommel horse routine, from 6.0 to 6.5, and on parallel bars, we’re working on precision in the elements. The emphasis is on making the finals – pommel horse and parallel bars.”

Russian MAG team for the European Games is Vladislav Poliashov, David Belyavskiy, and Dmitri Lankin.
